  That Council give first reading of Bylaw 1598/22.

Appointment of Chair to Assessment Review Boards

• Recommended Motion:

  That Council appoint D. (Lee) Danchuk as Chair of the Assessment Review Boards effective immediately, to carry out duties prescribed in sections 454.1(2) and 454.2(2) of the Municipal Government Act and Bylaw 1409/18.

Truth and Reconciliation Calls to Action Report

• Recommended Motion:

  That Council direct Administration to continue to advance Sturgeon County’s efforts towards Truth and Reconciliation and other related actions identified within the August 23, 2022 Request for Decision.

• Recommended Motion:

  That Council continue to actively collaborate with Alexander First Nation, Michel First Nation, and other Indigenous communities on progressing further meaningful actions for consideration.

Municipal Planning Commission and Authority Bylaws - Bylaw 1589/22 (2022 Subdivision Authority Bylaw), Bylaw 1590/22 (2022 Development Authority Bylaw), and Bylaw 1591/22 (2022 General Amendments to Land Use Bylaw 1385/17) – Second and Third Reading

  That Council direct Administration to provide a report in Q4 2023 regarding the practical outcomes of Municipal Planning Commission discontinuance, including processing time impacts, appeal volumes, client satisfaction, and other information as deemed appropriate.

Future Takes Flight - Edmonton Metropolitan Board Regional Evaluation Framework Referral

• Recommended Motion:

  That Council direct Administration to submit the Sturgeon County Future Takes Flight documents (Bylaw 1592/22, Bylaw 1593/22, and Bylaw 1594/22) to the Edmonton Metropolitan Region Board in accordance with the Regional Evaluation Framework process.

• Recommended Motion:

  That Council direct Administration to bring forward Bylaw 1592/22, Bylaw 1593/22, and Bylaw 1594/22 for consideration of third reading following completion of the Edmonton Metropolitan Region Board Regional Evaluation Framework process.
