  • Recommended Motion:

    That Council refer Smoky Lake County’s presentation regarding the North Saskatchewan River Canadian Heritage Rivers System Designation to Administration to provide a recommendation on partnering with Smoky Lake County on an Alberta Community Partnership grant related to promoting activities associated with the North Saskatchewan River.

    That Council approve the appointment of public members to Sturgeon County Boards and Committees as set out within Attachment 1, for terms commencing January 25, 2022.

  • Recommended Motion:

    That Council authorize the Mayor to provide letters of support to the Government of Alberta with respect to carbon capture utilization and storage projects within Sturgeon County and Alberta’s Industrial Heartland.

  • Recommended Motion:

    That Council proclaim the bridge located on Meadowview Drive east of Range Road 261A as the “Cunningham Bridge”, recognizing the Cunningham family and their rich Métis heritage in the area.

  • Recommended Motion:

    That Council award the contract for the purchase of two 872GP motor graders to Brandt Tractor at a contract price of $1,096,493.48, excluding GST, and authorize the Chief Administrative Officer to execute the contract.

Gary Mayhew, Manager, Transportation and Engineering Services

  • Recommended Motion:

    That Council award the contract for the Bridge File 70827 Replacement Project to the lowest compliant bidder, Formula Alberta Ltd., at the contract price of $1,276,520, excluding GST, and authorize the Chief Administrative Officer to execute the contract.

    That Council give first reading of Bylaw 1570/22.

    That Council approve the Council COVID-19 Policy as presented.

  • Recommended Motion:

    That Council direct Administration to review suite regulations within the Land Use Bylaw, including the ability for suites to have basements, and provide a report to Council in March 2022.
