    That Council direct Administration to research the process that comparator municipalities use to appoint the deputy chief elected official and report back to Council by the April 11, 2023 Regular Council Meeting.

    That Council approve up to a $10,000 expenditure, within the existing 2023 operating budget, to fund Sturgeon County’s contribution to a reception held during the 2023 Federation of Canadian Municipalities Conference where Alberta communities can inform and educate conference delegates about Alberta and further inter-provincial and national relationships

  • Recommended Motion:

    That Council direct a letter to be sent to the Federal and Provincial Governments, rural municipalities in Alberta, and relevant industries to gauge support in hosting an Alberta reception at the 2023 Federation of Canadian Municipalities Conference where Alberta’s rural municipalities can inform and educate conference delegates about Alberta and further inter-provincial and national relationships.
